Taking Care of your New Tattoo is just as important as getting it

TATTOO AFTERCARE/WHAT TO DO

A Tattoo can take anywhere between 2-4 weeks to heal 100% , Read carefully below:

  • Washing your Tattoo: Gently rinse your New Tattoo under Cool/Room temperature water using a Non-scented Anti-bacterial soap such as Dial. (Rinse/Wash Tattoo gently at least 2 times a day to keep clean from debris)

  • Keeping your Tattoo Moisturized: After washing and drying your Tattoo, apply a THIN coat of Aquaphor or A&D ointment for the first 3-5 days keeping your Tattoo lighlty lubricated throughout the day.

  • AVOID using ointments such as Neosporin or Vaseline.

  • After 3-5 days using Ointment, Switch to a Natural/Fragrance-free Moisturizer or Lotion of your choice to Apply for remainder of healing process (Lubriderm, Aveeno, Cetaphil, Coconut oil etc.)

  • Wear loose comfortable clothing: Avoid tight fitting clothing that may rub against the tattoo as it heals. 

  • Drink water daily: Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated & keep your Tattoos looking vibrant!  

  • Working out/Fitness: You can still Gym! But Depending on where your Tattoo is placed some Movement may have to be limited in order for your Tattoo to heal properly

  • Feel free to ask your Artist any questions that you may have regarding the Tattoo healing process.

WHAT TO AVOID/NOT TO DO

  • Picking: Do NOT pick, scratch, or peel at a healing tattoo. Some Tattoos shed naturally.

  • Perfumes: Avoid using Soaps with perfume or lotions with heavy fragrance on a Healing Tattoo. 

  • No Swimming/No Saunas: Avoid any type of swimming whatsoever to avoid the risk of infection. Avoid Submerging your Tattoo under water until it's fully healed. No Saunas.

  • Abrasive materials: Avoid wearing any Clothing or Accessories that that may rub against your Tattoo while its healing. 

  • Avoid Direct Sunlight: Try to keep your New Tattoo out of Direct sunlight for long periods of time at least for the first 10 days after getting it.

  •  Once your tattoo is fully healed, Feel free to Use Moisturizers & Sunscreen in order to protect & keep them looking fresh throughout its lifetime.
